Established in 1998. Classy Seconds was started when the building that donations had been stored in was needed for transitional housing. Not having the space to store donations but not able to turn them away as sheltered families needed the clothing, the idea for a shop was born. Today, Classy Seconds has moved to a new, airy building on Highway 50 East right across from Goodwill. The shop offers clothing, furniture, and houseware items to sheltered clients and those in need in the community without charge. The extra funds raised are used toward the cost of providing crisis intervention, support services, as well as shelter. Advocates To End Domestic Violence provides services to survivors of family violence and sexual assault on a 24-hour, seven day a week basis.
